The construction system for a car door comprises an outer frame in which reinforcing beams are mounted for protection against impacts from the side. The outer frame is made from a profiled tube with a trapezium-shaped cross-section (11). Two sides (12, 13) of the trapezium are extended to form mountings (22, 27, 28) for e.g. the door cover.
