The method involves supplying filters to first and second transfer units (10,20) from the production units (6,16) of first and second production lines (2,4), respectively. Additionally the transfer units are supplied additionally with filters from the other transfer unit. The filters are supplied to first and second processing units (14, 24) for producing end product. Independent claims are included for an apparatus for compensating flow of filters and a production line for the filters.
