TRANSMISSION ERROR CONCEALMENT IN AN AUDIO SIGNAL

The invention concerns a method for concealing transmission errors in a digital audio signal which consists in receiving a decoded signal after transmission, storing the decoded samples when the transmitted data are valid, estimating at least a short-term prediction operator and a long-term prediction operator on the basis of the stored valid samples and in generating possible missing or erroneous samples in the decoded signals with the estimated operators. The invention is characterised in that it consists in controlling the energy of the synthesis signal thus generated with a calculated and adapted gain sample by sample.
