<p>Apparatus (1) for the assembly of a crate (2), said apparatus comprising at least one press (3), said press (3) comprising at least two substantially horizontal, separated plates, an upper plate/an upper ram (4) and a bottom plate (5), for the provision of an opening for the insertion of the crate (2), said crate (2) being placed on the bottom plate (5), and said upper plate/said upper ram (4) being mounted on a vertically displaceable cylinder rod (12), the movement of which is brought about by control means (9), said cylinder rod (12) being mounted on a press cylinder (7). The apparatus (1) further comprises positioning means comprising at least one horizontal control means (10) and at least one vertical adjustment means (11). The horizontal control means (10) comprise an end stop, and means by which said end stop can be displaced horizontally in relation to the bottom plate (5) and set to a predetermined position. There is hereby achieved an apparatus and a method which not only ensures that the crate stands in a stable manner and is exposed to a uniform pressure regardless of the dimensions of the crate, but also establishes the correct pressure for the crate inserted. The apparatus is thus suitable for use in the production of crates, for example wooden crates.</p> |
