METHOD FOR SEARCHING MULTIMEDIA USING HISTOGRAM

PURPOSE: A method for searching a multimedia using a histogram is provided to improve performance by defining a histogram capable of searching each other with a standardized histogram and optimizing each application with the defined histogram at the time of searching. CONSTITUTION: In the case that the characteristic information of a multimedia is a histogram representing the characteristics of the multimedia, the method comprises steps of equally dividing the histogram to be unequally combined and searching the multimedia by using the equally divided histogram or the unequally combined histogram according to the searching object group. In case that the searching group is a single group, in order to be suitable to the characteristics, the unequally combination of the equally divided histogram is used. In case of not a single group and being difficult to define the characteristics, the equally divided histogram is used.
