METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF REFRIGERATOR

PURPOSE: A method for controlling operation of refrigerator is provided to achieve an improved cooling efficiency by continuously driving the compressor until the temperature sensed by the temperature sensor has reached a control temperature and thus increasing cooling speed of the stored foodstuff. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a main body having a food storage compartment; a door for opening or closing the food storage compartment; a temperature sensor installed to the main body so as to sense temperature; and a cooling element installed to the main body so as to cool the food storage compartment. A method for controlling operation of refrigerator comprises a first step(S10) of setting the control temperature of the temperature sensor in such a manner that the control temperature corresponds to the temperature of the food storage compartment; and a second step(S20 to S100) of continuously driving the cooling element until the temperature sensed by the temperature sensor has reached the control temperature.
