PURPOSE: A near-field recording/reproducing optical head is provided to improve optical efficiency and transmission speed and to enable precise tracking. CONSTITUTION: A near-field recording/reproducing optical head includes a lower slider(31), an upper slider, an optical source(51), a lens(65), and a main light detector(70). The lower slider travels on a recording medium, being floated by air dynamic pressure, and has a light transmission hole(32) through which incident light is transmitted. The upper slider is combined with the lower slider, and has a groove in which an optical element is mounted. The upper slider includes a reflection face(64) formed at the end of the groove, being inclined at a predetermined angle, to reflect the incident light. The optical source is set in the groove and projects lights toward the recording medium. The lens is placed in the light transmission hole to focus lights that transmit the light transmission hole. The main light detector is located on one side of the lower slider and receives lights reflected from the recording medium. |
