PURPOSE: A method for creating a personal character is provided to manufacture the personal character in real time and to apply a change in expression, motion or accessories in real time. CONSTITUTION: If a user logs in to a web site after accessing the Internet and opening the main page of the web site, the web server searches a member management database for member data. If it is confirmed that the user is a member, the web server authorizes him to use service menus(S001,S005). If a character manufacture request is generated from the user, the web server checks whether the user's digital image is stored in an image database(S002). In case that the user's digital image exists, the web server fetches the stored image from the image database(S007) and asks him whether he wants to use it. If the user wants to use new image data, the web server requests him to upload new image data(S006). If image data are uploaded from the user as the use's image is not stored. The web server stores the uploaded image data in the image database. At the same time, the web server extracts the user's facial feature on the basis of the stored digital image, creates a 3-dimensional character, stores the created character in a database, and also transmits it the user(S003).
