The invention relates to a heat exchanger (1a), comprising at least one contact wall (2), the first surface of which forms the contact surface (2a) to a first medium. The surface wall (2) takes heat from a second medium in contact therewith and transfers the heat, during a heating step, to the first medium by means of the contact surface (2a). In order to prevent the laying down of deposits on the contact wall (2), the heat exchanger (1a) comprises a device for generating an alternating magnetic field. Said device comprises a coil (8) and a supply device (9) and generates an electromagnetic alternating field in the first medium at the contact surface (2a) during at least a part of the heating step. The electromagnetic generation of nucleations in a medium for heating, before the entry (4) thereof into a heat exchanger (1a) is not sufficient. The formation of nucleations must be stimulated where it is most likely to occur, or in the position where the super-saturation is at the highest, in other words next to the heat transferring contact surface (2a). |
