DISTRIBUTED PROCESSING METHOD IN DISTRIBUTED MEMORY-TYPE PARALLEL COMPUTER AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up a distributed processing in a distributed memory-type parallel computer. SOLUTION: A node 0 is set to be a master, and nodes 1 to 3 to be slaves in the nodes 0 to 3 constituting the distributed memory-type parallel computer. A processing is distributed and performed in the nodes 0 to 3. Initial data are transferred to the slave nodes 1 to 3 from the master node 0 and local calculation is performed in the respective nodes 0 to 3. When local calculation is terminated, the slave nodes 1 to 3 perform a test and set instruction to the communication register 41 of a network 4. Thus, the slave node which terminates local calculation earliest is decided to the master mode for result merging (2, for example). Then, the master node for result merging 2 collects the local calculation results of the other salve nodes 1 and 3 and merges them with a self-local calculation result. The master node 0 finally collects a merging result from the master node for result merging 2 and merges it with the self-local calculation result.
