PURPOSE: A logo luminance apparatus of a notebook computer is provided to supply light to a character area by illuminating an EL(electric luminance) area by power that is generated at a solar cell by using back light of an LCD. CONSTITUTION: A logo luminance apparatus of a notebook computer comprises a light source(401), a solar cell layer(402) over the light source(401), an FPC(flexible printed circuit) layer(403) and an EL layer(404) on the solar cell layer(402), and opaque printing layer(405) and a double translucent printing layer(406) having a character luminance area(407) on the EL layer(404). When the light source(401) is driven, back light is radiated onto the solar cell layer(402) so as to generate power. Positive and negative power from the solar cell layer(402) are supplied to both power ports (+), (-) of the EL layer(404) so as to turn on the EL layer(404). The light transmitted from the EL layer(404) is radiated to the opaque printing layer(405) and the double translucent printing layer(406) so as to illuminate the character luminance area(407) to display a logo character.
