PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of preventing an image defect from being caused by insufficient supply of developer. SOLUTION: This developing device 1 is constituted of a developing roller (developer carrier) 30 holding toner (developer) 23 so as to serve for development, a supply roller (supply means) 29 supplying the toner 23 to the roller 30, a supply toner reservoir (developer reservoir) 27 storing the toner 23 supplied to the roller 29, a toner stirring and carrying member (carrying means) 25 carrying the toner 23 to the reservoir 27, a toner storage part (developer storing part) 21, a regulating blade (regulating means) 32 regulating the toner 23 supplied to the roller 30 to proper amount, a discharge part (excess developer storing part) 35 storing the excess toner 23, and a discharge roller (discharging means) 34 discharging the toner 23 in the discharge part 35 and making it circulate. The device 1 is provided with a 1st regulating member (1st regulating means) 28 regulating so that the toner 23 may not infiltrate to the discharge part 35 from the storage part 21. |
