PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photo-curable composition used in the formation of a structure capable of regulating the alignment of liquid crystal molecules and capable of inexpensively and easily forming a colorless structure excellent in transparency and not spoiling the hue of a displayed image. SOLUTION: The photo-curable composition contains a polymerizable monomer, a (meth)acrylic acid-containing polymer and a polymerization initiator, and the mass ratio of the total of the polymerizable monomer to the total of the (meth)acrylic acid-containing polymer is 0.5-0.9. The photo-curable composition is used in the formation of a substantially colorless transparent structure disposed between each electrically conductive layer and a liquid crystal layer in a liquid crystal display element obtained by holding the liquid crystal layer between two substrates with electrically conductive layers on the opposite faces. |
