PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a device with which a user can obtain translation results at a low cost and the translation quality of machine translation can be improved. SOLUTION: Translation knowledge storing means 1-1 to 1-n store translation knowledge of each different field. When the user 100 makes a translation request about an optional field, a translation server 3 selects the translation knowledge of the field from among the storing means 1-1 to 1-n and instructs a machine translating means 2 to perform machine translation by using the translation knowledge. The server 3 transmits machine translation results to the user 100, and when the user 100 requests a translator 101 to perform translation in response to the machine translation results, the translation is requested to the translator 101. When translation results are received from the translator 101, a translation knowledge manager 102 extracts the translation knowledge from the translation results and stores the translation knowledge in its corresponding translation knowledge storing means 1-1 to 1-n. |
