PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress excessive hoisting, and damages of an insert or a handling tool caused by the hoisting in the insert handling tool which hoists an insert holding part by a wire to vertically move the insert. SOLUTION: In this insert handling tool which hoists the insert holding part by the wire 2 from an upper part, and vertically moves the insert by winding/ rewinding the wire 2 around a drum 3, a measuring instrument 6 for measuring the weight of a vertically driving mechanism is provided to detect any interference or high friction or the like of the insert with a handling tool structure due to the load fluctuation, and to stop the drive of a motor 4 deviated from a preset weight range.
