PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Internet advertisement retrieval method by which the retrieval processing of a server can be speeded up, equipment cost can be reduced, and user convenience and an advertisement function can be enhanced. SOLUTION: A server 1 for a retrieval service on the Internet IN displays a merchandise section page P1 carrying a plurality of merchandise sections on the browsers of terminals 6-1 to 6-n. When a desired merchandise section is selected, a retrieval page P2 carrying a plurality of retrieval conditions corresponding to the desired merchandise section is displayed on the browsers. When the plurality of the retrieval conditions are specified, merchandise information satisfying the retrieval conditions is retrieved and extracted from a database 4. Thereafter, a merchandise advertisement page P3 carrying the extracted merchandise information is displayed on the browser of the terminal 6-1, etc. In this case, document information and image information are linked to Web sites 7-2 to 7-n. These links are desirably made directly to a page carrying merchandise contents shown by the image information in detail among the pages of the Web sites.
