EDGE WIPING NOZZLE FOR PREVENTING SPLASH DEFECTS IN CGL

PURPOSE: An edge wiping nozzle for preventing splash defects in a CGL(continuous galvanizing line) is provided which prevents vortex generated due to direct collision of air ejected from an air knife as well as splash defects generated by the vortex in controlling a thickness of the plating layer with the air knife in the CGL. CONSTITUTION: In an edge wiping nozzle for preventing splash defects comprising a pair of air knives(10) which are installed on both surfaces of the strip(3) so that they face each other and control a plating amount of the strip by ejecting air; and baffle plates(20) which are installed adjacently to the edge part of the strip(3) so as to prevent direct collision of air ejected from the air knives(10), the edge wiping nozzle for preventing splash defects in a CGL(continuous galvanizing line) further comprises two small edge air knives(30) each of which are installed at both upper end parts of the one pair of air knives(10); and nozzles(40) which are installed at the upper part of the baffle plates(20) so as to eject air downwardly.
