摘要 PURPOSE: Structure for controlling the tension of a belt is provided to automatically control the tension of a belt depending on the temperature of an engine or the ambient temperature, to lengthen the life span of a belt by avoiding wear due to a high tension, and to easily repair and maintain an engine by removing a separate work for controlling the tension. CONSTITUTION: A carrier(30) is mounted on a fixing bolt to pressurize a tension controller(10) by using a frictional force. The carrier moves along a guide slot by the tension of a belt. The carrier has a piston(32) supported on a compression spring(31) and a ball(33). The ball applied with the elasticity of the compression spring of the carrier pressurizes the tension controller. While rolling along the surface of the tension controller depending on the tension of the belt, the ball fixes the tension controller in a proper position. If the tension of the belt is high, the frictional force of the ball and the guide slot is reduced.
