PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save labor in an operation at a site and heighten the safety by facilitating the regulation of a bobbin-braking force in a weak level at the time of releasing while achieving the simplification of the operation for releasing and loading the bobbin- breaking force. SOLUTION: This bobbin-breaking device for a twisting machine is obtained by installing a break rod 3 engaged with an operating part of a break element 2 regulated so that the break may be operated by the retreating movement and released by the progressing movement, so as to be progressed and retreated, and fitting a coil spring 4 for providing elastic force to the retreating operation side to the break rod 3, on the break rod 3. The bobbin-breaking device also has a cam structure part 5 comprising a front cylindrical cam 11 and a rear cylindrical cam 12 which are cylindrical bodies having tapered cam faces 13 and 14, and capable of changing a rotating movement for rotating nearly half revolution of the rear cylindrical cam 12 against the front cylindrical cam 11, to a linear movement for expanding or contracting the break rod at a prescribed length, fitted on the break rod 3 as a breaking force-interrupting structure against the coil spring 4. When the nearly half revolution of the rear cylindrical cam 12 is rotated around the breaking rod 3, the break of the bobbin 1 is operated or released by compressing or elongating the coil spring 4 at the length corresponding to the tapered cam faces 13 and 14.
