PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a motor of a hybrid typed compressor to be miniaturized, to be power-saving, and to be improved in fuel consumption. SOLUTION: On air conditioner for vehicle equipped with a refrigerating cycle 1 composed of a hybrid typed condenser 2 which has at least a driving method of an engine 25 for running and an electric motor 4, a condenser 8, a heat exchanger 10 for subcooling, and a receiver tank 9 arranged between the aforesaid condenser 8 and the heat exchanger 10 for subcooling, it is equipped with a by-pass method passing a refrigerant from the condenser 8 into the heat exchanger 10 through by-passing the receiver tank 9 when a cooling load becomes at least a certain condition which is larger than the designated condition when a generator 26 is driven.
