PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the characteristics of a mattress member to be exhibited by easy deformation of a support member when a structure is installed in a specified place although the support member is disposed in a position where a concentric load from the structure works when a structure such as a caisson is constructed on the mattress member and the mattress member is held so as not to be deformed during the construction of the structure. SOLUTION: When a structure such as a concrete caisson is constructed, a mattress member 10 on which a support member 20 is disposed at the part supporting caisson bottom slab reinforcements 15 is used to bear the load acting through the caisson bottom slab reinforcements 15. The legs 22 of support member 20 put on a projection 7 of a large stone on a mound when the structure is installed are easily deformed to buckle and the underface of the mattress member is easily fitted to the irreguralities of the upper face of the mound to increase the friction.
