<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing member, an airtight container, and a sealing method therefor, whereby an opening or the like of a container main body can be substantially uniformly sealed, interruption of manual operation of a lid body or the like is prevented, damage to sealability and contamination of goods can be prevented despite repetitious opening and closing, sufficient washing can be ensured even when the container main body and the lid body are washed together, the ability to be cleaned is made excellent, and drying operation can be shortened. SOLUTION: A fitting hold groove 16, which is endless, is formed in the form of a notch in the periphery of a lid body 11 that closes the container main body 1. The sealing member 20 disposed between the container main body 1 and the lid body 11 includes an endless portion 21 that is fitted in the fitting hold groove 16. The sealing member 20 also includes a projection 22 that obliquely extends from the peripheral corner of the endless portion 21 toward the outside of the front of the opening of the container main body 1 and forms a substantially acute angle between itself and a contact face of the front of the opening of the container main body 1. The sealing member 20 further includes a pair of fitting ribs 23 that project from the surface of the endless portion 21 and contact the sectional inner face of the fitting hold groove 16.</p> |
