PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refuse removing device capable of collecting refuse at a lower position and reducing cost and repairing the installation condition of the recovery device such as a hopper or the like. SOLUTION: The refuse removing device is provided with a pair of endless chains mutually isolated, a drive means (gear 22, motor 23, or the like) which circularily drives both endless chains, a pair of guide means guiding the endless chain so as to pass the under water and the air, a number of connection pieces 12, 14, etc., connected to the inside of respective endless chains respectively, a raking up member 13 fitted to the connection piece 12 so as to project to the outside of the periphery of the endless chains, a catching member 17 rotatably fitted to the connection piece 14, a roller 17g fitted to the catching member 17, and a roller guide 18 guiding the roller 17g, adjusting the catching member 17 to the catching posture having an inclination along the circumferential zone at the front side (upward side) of the circumferential zone of the endless chain and further bring it to the dropping posture at the upper collecting zone 18A of refuse.
