PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pricing device solving inconveniences related to input of commodity numbers when a volume of contents on a tray is changed. SOLUTION: A pricing device is equipped with a commodity data storage means which stores pricing data for a unit price or the like responding to a commodity number and a type of a tray (number) used for the commodity in advance, and reads out the commodity data from the storage means, and executes the pricing. The pricing device is composed of a tray type detecting means which detects a type of a tray containing a commodity for pricing, a searching means which searches whether or not there is a same product and a commodity number storing the detected type of a tray when the detected result does not comply with the type of the tray being presently read out, a controlling means which reads out the commodity data for the commodity number, and executes pricing by the readout commodity data when a complying commodity number is searched by the searching means.
