PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycrystalline silicon containing gallium as a doping substance whose crystal grains' electric resistivity change and which can improve conversion efficiency of its end-product namely solar cell and also can prevent fluctuation. SOLUTION: There are provided a polycrystalline silicon containing gallium as a doping substance and having an average crystal grain diameter of 2 mm or more, a polycrystalline silicon wafer for solar cell produced from the silicon and also a solar cell manufactured from the silicon wafer.
