发明名称 METHOD FOR FORMING LIGHT EMITTING CENTER IN GLASS
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new means by which an inducing structure is formed in glass with the femtosecond laser light pulse irradiation, and provide a new means by which a light emitting center giving the easy excitation (reading-out) for an optical memory element, etc., is formed in glass. SOLUTION: The prescribed position inside a Ag+-containing glass is irradiated concentrically with a femtosecond laser light pulse having about 70-500 fsec width. The energy of the laser light pulse at the irradiation spot is made to be about 109-1015 W/cm2. Ag+ at the irradiation spot is transformed to Ag2+ and Ag0, and thus the light-emitting center emitting fluorescent light by ultraviolet rays, is formed.
