PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain composite metal powder for powder metallurgy capable of producing sintered parts having stable strength after sintering. SOLUTION: In this composite metal powder for powder metallurgy obtained by forming a coating layer of copper or a copper alloy by 5 to 70 wt.% on metal powder other than copper, the conetnt of calcium in the composite metal powder is <=0.02 wt.%.
