The electrical distribution component comprises a box (4) within which an electrical junction is formed The top of the box has a orifice (12) for filling the box with resin. Apertures (10) are provided at the ends of the box for the entry of cables. The top of the box has a orifice (12) for filling the box with resin, and a degassing orifice (14). The degassing orifice has a pipe which is turned downwards in order to prevent the escape of gas towards the operator. A demountable frame (2) comprising a cross bar (28) and two upright posts (26) may be fitted to the box. This includes a hook (34) from which a bag may be suspended above the filling orifice, so that resin may be added to the box to provide insulation and protection of the junction. A hardener is also added, and the resulting gas is allowed to escape via the degassing orifice (14).
