PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dephosphorizing molten iron by which in the case of being the shortage of a heat source, molten iron is directly charged into a converter without blowing and the compensation of the heat source and dephosphorizing reaction are improved in a molten iron pretreating furnace. SOLUTION: In the method for performing the desiliconizing and dephosphorizing treatment by charging the molten iron into a top-bottom combined blown converter system pretreating furnace and top-blowing oxygen while adding Cab, the dephosphorizing reaction is improved by adding the carbonaceous material from the upper part to inject the added carbonaceous material and the equivalent quantity of the oxygen.
