APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING AUTOMATICALLY VARIABLE TRAFFIC LANE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling automatically a variable traffic lane is provided to control effectively the variable traffic lane by monitoring traffic volume of invariable traffic lanes. CONSTITUTION: A couple of side sensors are installed at both side portions of a road including a variable traffic lane. A side sensing signal detection portion(20) detects sensing signals from the side sensors. A road surface sensing signal detection portion(30) detects a sensing signal from a road surface sensor for sensing traffic volume of the variable traffic lane. A variable traffic lane control portion(10) controls a change of an indicator lamp of the variable traffic lane on the basis of a traffic state of variable traffic lane. A couple of public indicator lamp driving portions(50,60) output indicator lamp driving signals according to a control signal of the variable traffic lane control portion(10). A road surface indicator lamp driving portion(70) outputs an indicator lamp driving signal according to the control signal of the variable traffic lane control portion(10). A camera(40) is used for photographing the traffic state of variable traffic lane. A manual operating portion(5) is used for operating manually the indicator lamp of the variable traffic lane. A road state presentation portion(80) is used for displaying the present traffic state of variable traffic lane. A road state monitoring portion(90) is used for displaying the photographed states of the variable traffic lane and changing the indicator lamp of the variable traffic lane.
