A mounting for the lifting arms on a front lift vehicle has two parallel vertical telescopic supports (3, 4) supported on the front chassis and carrying the lifting arms and the lifting cylinders. This enables the operator to select the working height of the vehicle e.g. when loading/unloading high sided vehicles. The bottom mountings of the lifting arms, and that of the lifting cylinders, are fitted to the upper part (3) of the vertical mounting. The vehicle has large wheel for negotiating uneven ground.
