An open-cab, land vehicle (10) having a cooling system, which includes a chassis (12), mounted on a plurality of axles (14, 16) haiving wheels (18, 20). On this chassis there is a passenger compartment (22) with at least one passegner seat (24) and a dashboard (30). The passenger seat is positioned behind said dashboard. A reservoir (42) containing water mounted on the chassis of said vehicle, preferably at the rear of the vehicle. A housing (52) containing a fan (50) and a water atomizing nozzle (48, 54) is mounted adjacent the dashboard. A hose (46) for connecting the reservoir and water atomizing nozzle is also included as is a pump (44) for moving water from the reservoir first through the hose and then through the water atomizing nozzle. A water mist is formed which the fan moves into the passenger compartment, and preferably, falls directly on the passengers.
