METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ELECTROLYTIC DISINFECTION OF WATER

A method for the electrolytic disinfection of water which comprises dissolving a hypochlorite and a silver ion or a hypochlorite and a copper ion into water to thereby disinfect the water; and an apparatus for the method. The method can be employed for disinfecting water in a pool, water for washing a material, water for sterilizing washing of equipment, a container or the like, drinking water in a ship, and the like, with reliability and safety and in a short time.
