PURPOSE: A compressor control method of air conditioner is provided to improve operation factor of a compressor and to increase the efficiency of cooling operation in low temperature. CONSTITUTION: A compressor control method includes three steps. The first step(107) is to detect the temperature of air discharged to a room. The second step(211) is to determine whether the detected temperature satisfies low temperature condition. The third step(311) is to control to lower the driving frequency of a compressor on operation of the low temperature condition and to indicate that the operating frequency of the compressor is changed. The low temperature condition of the temperature of discharged air is that the detected temperature of discharged air is higher than the freezing temperature of a heat exchanger by a certain value. The driving frequency of the compressor is lowered on low temperature condition to delay the freezing of the heat exchanger.
