Disclosed is a fiber optic cable trough junction cover system for providing a cover (150, 160) which protects, but provides better access to the interior of trough junctions (80, 156, 200). More particularly, embodiments of this invention provide a dual hinge (150a, 152) arrangement to allow access without being required to either rotate the full one piece (150, 160) junction cover upward or remove it completely.
