he invention relates to a shoe-tree heated by the flow of saturated steam softening shoe uppers in shoe treeing machines. The invented shoe-tree is made of cast aluminium and shaped as in the attached figures. The steam is introduced into the shoe-tree via the feeding pipe (06) (fig.1, 2, 4, 5). The fig. 3 features the interior of the shoe-tree and the course followed by the steam until it reaches the shoe uppers. The shoe uppers are fixed on the shoe-tree (fig.5) with the tongs (14) of the machine-supporting stem (12) and pressed, via the pneumatic piston, into the jaw cavity for a few seconds. Hot clouds of steam get out from the shoe-tree orifices and channels and, diffused on the shoe uppers, they soften them perfectly. |
