NETWORK ERROR DISPLAY DEVICE AND ERROR DETECTION DISPLAY METHOD

PURPOSE: A network error display device and an error detection display method are provided to discriminate the error of a reception system on a network and the error inside equipment and easily understandably display the attention to a user. CONSTITUTION: An IEEE1394 signal processing part(4) detects the error of a loop state, detects a link state, and detects the error generated in the state with a link to the network or the error generated in the state without the link in an IEEE1394 network. A main body processing part(5) stores a message for indicating an error state, and displays the stored message based on the error state. A display unit(6) displays the message to the user.
