PURPOSE: A touch panel and a method for fabricating the touch panel are provided to reduce costs, simplify processes and secure process margin. CONSTITUTION: A touch panel includes an LCD panel, the first transparent conductive film(43) formed on the back side of the LCD panel, and the second transparent conductive film(45) formed along the edge of the first film. A method of fabricating the touch panel is constructed in a manner that the first and second glass substrates(41a,41b) are attached to each other, and the first transparent conductive film is formed on the back side of the second glass substrate. Then, the second transparent conductive film is formed along the edge of the first transparent conductive film. Liquid crystal is sealed between the first and second glass substrates.
