PURPOSE: Provided are a stabilization system and a method for a sanitary landfill using desulfobacter, which are to accelerate the decomposition of non-degradable lignocellulose (lignin+hemicellulose+cellulose). CONSTITUTION: The stabilization system for a sanitary landfill comprises an flow equalization part for leachate generated from a landfill; a sulfide oxidation part for recovering a sulfate from leachate and an intermittent aeration part for nitrification; a recirculation part for the leachate passed from the aeration part to the lower part of a final cover layer and an effluent part for the leachate after post-treatment; and a part to inject selectively sodium sulfate into the leachate recirculated to the lower part of the final cover layer. The sulfide oxidation part can recover the sulfate(generated by thiobacillus).
