PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp device for clamping into place a workpiece placed on a base and to enable a workpiece of a certain height on the base to be fastened into place by a clamp arm which oscillates up and down relative to the workpiece and to simplify the structure of the device. SOLUTION: The clamp arm 7 supported on the base 1 is formed in the shape of an angle consisting of a clamp portion 7a extending longitudinally relative to the workpiece W and a vertically extending support part 7b bent downwardly and integrally from the base part of the clamp portion. A clamping face 9 is formed at the end of the clamp portion 7a and a fulcrum portion 8 is formed at the lower end of the support part 7b. The clamp arm 7 is driven to oscillate about the fulcrum portion 8 whereby the workpiece W on the base 1 is clamped into place by the clamp portion 7a.
