PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Buddhist wooden tuning fork which sounds louder and clearer. SOLUTION: A Buddhist rosary striking portion 16 of the Buddhist wooden tuning fork 11 includes tip side surfaces 20, and a slot portion 19 is provided which has the equal width in direction of its thickness between one side surface 17 and the other side surface 18, and which is of a deep groove shape from the tip side surfaces toward a grip portion 5. When the Buddhist rosary striking portion 16 is struck, the wooden tuning fork 11 sounds louder and clearer by resonance at the slot portion 19.
