PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe mat for gymnastics to be used for various gymnastics apparatus and capable of quickly coping with an unexpected jump out and a fall. SOLUTION: This safe mat M for gymnastics is formed by covering the filling buffer material 3 with an upper surface sheet 1 and a lower surface sheet 2. The whole length and the whole width thereof are set within a range at 500-1500 mm, and the whole thickness is set within a range at 5-25 mm. A coefficient of the static friction of the lower surface of the lower surface sheet 2 is set at 1.3-2.1.
