PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent remaining of ink when both sides of a protective cover plate 44 attached on a front surface of a front head unit 6 of an ink jet printer head and a nozzle plate 43 with nozzles positioned on an inside periphery of a peripheral edge 57a of an opening window are cleaned by a nozzle wiper blade 59. SOLUTION: An opening window 57 with a size of being separated by a gap from a peripheral edge of a nozzle plate 43 is formed on a protective cover plate 44, and the right and left peripheral edge portions 57a, 57a of the opening window 57 and an outer periphery of the nozzle plate 43 are curved convexly. As a result, the falling of a wiping edge portion 59a of a nozzle wiper blade 59 into a gap between the peripheral edge portion 57a of the opening window 57 of the protective cover plate 44 and the outer peripheral edge of the nozzle plate 43 at a time and over a long range, can be prevented.
