PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moistening apparatus in which gas flow rate can be uniformly distributed and moistening ability can be controlled in accordance with requirement. SOLUTION: In the moistening apparatus in which a plurality of hollow fiber membranes are provided in a housing and two gases with different water contents are made to flow respectively outside and inside of the above hollow fiber membranes through a plurality of openings provided in the housing and the above water contents are exchanged between the above described two gases, at least one of the above described openings is formed with a plurality of holes, and among the plurality of holes, holes near the inlet and outlet parts through which either one of the above described gas is guided in and out to the above housing are formed small and holes being far from them are formed large. In addition, the second inlet and outlet parts through which either one of the above described gases is guided in and out to the above housing are provided at the positions where the near holes to the above inlet and outlet parts placing the axial center of the above housing between them are large and the far holes are small, and at least one of the above inlet and outlet parts and the described second inlet and outlet parts is selected and a switching means for passing either one of the above gases through is provided. |
