PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leakage detector for a separation plate type centrifugal separator, which is free from maintenance, can miniaturize the separator itself and can surely detect the leakage of a light liquid even when being leaked to the heavy liquid side very slightly. SOLUTION: The leakage detector 10 is provided with a 1st, a 2nd and a 3rd temperature sensors 13 of a 1st temperature detecting part 11 arranged in a heavy liquid discharge pipe 47, a 2nd temperature sensor 16 arranged outside the heavy liquid discharge pipe 47 and a relative value judging part 18C for judging the leakage of the light liquid L based on the detected temperature of the 1st and the 2nd temperature sensors 13 and 16.
