PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter, especially hedge shears, which is simple, has high reliability, and can realize improved cutting force. SOLUTION: This cutter, especially hedge shears, has a first elongated handle member 1, a second elongated handle member 2 rotatably connected with the first handle member 1 at a first pivot point 10, a first blade member 5 with cutting edge rotatably connected with the first handle member 1 at a second pivot point 7, a second blade member 6 with cutting edge rotatably connected with the second handle member 2 at a third pivot point 8, the first and second blade members 5, 6 are mutually rotatably connected at a fourth pivot point 9. When the blade members approach a close position, the first - fourth pivot points 10, 7, 8, 9 from a quadrangle with the apex angle at the first pivot point 10 approaching 180 deg.. This work done by closing the cutter, especially hedge shears, creates force to close the blade members. The nearer the blade members approach the closed positions, the larger the force to close the blade member is created. |
