PURPOSE: A sealing assembly of a rotating shaft is provided to minimize the leakage of a high temperature, high pressure gas from a compressor rotor or a turbine rotor in the initial driving or stoppage of a rotating shaft and to minimize the influence of vibration by maintaining a tolerance in a sealing unit. CONSTITUTION: A sealing assembly(32) is installed on a rotating shaft(31). A housing(33) is formed in the sealing assembly. The housing surrounds the rotating shaft. A labyrinth type sealing unit(34) is formed on the inner face of the housing to prevent the leakage of a gas through a gap(35) between the rotating shaft and the front portion of the sealing unit. An auxiliary sealing unit(37) is formed on the sidewall of the sealing unit. When a high temperature, high pressure air passes through the gap, the airflow is changed by the auxiliary sealing unit and a rotating disk(36) formed on the outer face of the rotating shaft. Therefore, the leakage of the gas is minimized. A tolerance between the outer face of the rotating shaft and the sealing unit is kept.
