PURPOSE:To stably light a discharge lamp connected to an inverter circuit without using a large inductor. CONSTITUTION:An inverter circuit 18 connected between output terminals of DC electric power supply 19, a transformer 23 to connect primary winding 24 between output terminals of the inverter circuit 18 through a discharge lamp 20 and a rectifier 31 connected to secondary winding 30 of this transformer 23, are provided. Voltage rectified by the rectifier 31 by being induced by the secondary winding 30 is superimposed on DC output voltage on the DC electric power supply 19 side. |
