PURPOSE: A method for alerting an MS(Mobile Station) to break away from the cell coverage in a DECT(Digital European Cordless Telecommunication) system is provided to check the RSSI level and B-field BER(Bit Error Rate) of each frame transmitted from a BS(Base Station) in order to inform a user whether these two check conditions meet give results. CONSTITUTION: An ABC chip first checks a received RSSI level to confirm whether an MS is getting out off the cell overage(S201) and then compares the received RSSI level with a reference level(S202). If the received RSSI level is smaller than the reference level, the ABC chip increases a counter value(S203). If the received RSSI level is larger than the reference level, the ABC chip initializes the counter value(S202a). Then the ABC chip judges whether the increased counter value is equal to a preset reference value(S204). If the increased counter value is equal to the preset reference value, the ABC chip executes an X-CRC(Cycle Redundancy Check) to check the BER of a B-field(S205). In case that an error exists in the B-field data, the ABC chip increases a flag(FLAG_X_CRC) value by "1" and accumulates it. The ABC chip judges whether the accumulated flag value reaches a given value(S206). If the accumulated flag value is more than the given value, the ABC chip gives the user of the MS of warning that the MS has just broken away from the cell coverage(S207).
