Housing 1 receives a plurality of storage elements 5 resting slidably on each other in a vertical stack whereby a removed element 20 may be replaced at any point in the stack. Each element has a recess for eg a CD and may include round-ended rearward extensions 8 (see also Fig 3) on each side whereby the centre of gravity of the element 24 is moved forwardly to allow the upper elements to pivot as shown in Fig 5A when an element is inserted. One element may be inverted over another to double its storage capacity. The side walls of each element may include a spring-return projection (9, Fig 3) which engages a groove (10, Fig 2) in the housing to allow free vertical movement but offer some resistance to removal of the element. |
